Fall sixteen feet and land flat on your back, on top of the ladder that just went out from under you. Thank God I’m not paralyzed or anything, but I am going to be in serious pain. Also, I’m going to have to get a new 20′ extension ladder since I bent this one when I landed on it.
I’ll post some nice contusion pictures in the next couple of days as they color up nicely.

*wince* Oh man!!! That sucks!! I say you go with Genuine’s idea. Get a bottle of something or ‘nother and set it next to the nice hot bath. Make sure your wife, helps you out of the tub to avoid further ugly accidents.

Hi ya, Nef. The Lovely D won’t let me go up on the roof any more, since I’ve fallen off twice before. I had a short ladder and missed the first rung (yup, both times — DUH!)…sheesh what a drop…plus my purpose was to remove some tree limbs (which I managed to roll off onto the ground) but when I fell, I almost impalled myself on one of the limbs. I was not made for home improvement/ repairs. I changed a light fixture one time (remembering to shut down the electricity) but installed it wrong, so now when you turn on the light the switch has to be in the down position. See what I mean?

I hate ladders! What were you doing when you fell? While you are lucky in one regard (still wiggling those fingers and toes…) I’m sorry that you fell. Prop yourself up in front of the computer and catch up on your browsing…

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
